Up to my eyeballs in pavers
We are about to begin a HUGE project- landscaping. That part of the reno slipped my mind, but not my husbands. So, in my home I have so many pavers that they're all looking a like. I don't think I ever realized how expensive landscaping was until we started to get bids
Let’s fill these walls…
Love my Saturday mornings in the office. I get work done, newsletters, contracts finished, negotiate offers and of course browse for the house
Flooring for future laundry room renovation
We are onto another small renovation and I couldn't be more excited- the laundry room! Wow, did I really get excited over that- never thought that would happen but I am so excited! The first step before I get this accomplised is picking out floors. I wanted to be different in this room because not only is it going to be a laundry room it will also be a mudroom and a small office for me.So, I wanted to have a little fun with this room. I've already purchased my desk chair from a great store here called Celadon. I cannot
Painting Brick…a big decision
As we wrap up another renovation project on the house, adding 500 sf of space over the garage, adding a gable to the front for aesthetics and redoing the roof over our screen porch, we need to make a decision on paint colors for the entire home.I'm a little nervous and excited. Excited because I LOVE the look of painted brick and nervous b/c this decision has to stick with me for a long time.Anyone who knows my style knows I'm a huge fan of neutral colors, love taupes and gray's. So, I ordered several samples from the paint store
My wish list and must finds
As we are working on another project on our home, I'm also trying to tie up loose ends on the other projects we've completed. It's the finishing touches like artwork and furniture that I can't seem to complete. So I took a break today to take a look on the Internet for items that I think I want. In this new home- I'm mostly about whites, gray, silver or metallic
Out with the Old and in with the old redone?
Sorry for the hiatus
Digging menswear for the home
I love all different types of decor for a home. I wouldn't say I'm set in one style whatsoever because each home has its own personality. That's like saying I only eat broccoli with my chicken or something like that! I love mixing antiques with modern decor or throwing in shabby chic to the mix. What I've been really liking lately is this masculine style in decorating. I watched Property Brothers one night on HGTV and they used a certain wallpaper in one of their renovations and then a few weeks later I saw it on The Nate Berkus show. It's simple enough if
In Style Tile
We are in the process of finshing a small bathroom renovation. My goal was to do it inexpensively- Lowe's tile, etc. Well, I was struggling because nothing really jumped out at me. We did get our floor tile from there large 18 x 24 (I think that was the size) and had them cut into a rectangle and they really turned out great. However, I could not find a shower tile that I loved so I decided to go to a tile store here, Buckhanon Brothers Tile and found a phenomenal selection. Yes, it was much more pricey then Lowe's but was
Not Your Grandma’s Ranch: The Dining Room
I'm excited that we have moved on to another project and it's finally completed minus a couple of small items- curtains and art which is on our to do list for this weekend!Do you remember my inspiration? Well here it is again to remind you
